The League of Women Voters of Coastal Georgia will host a candidate forum on Monday, September 16 at the Georgia Coastal Georgia Center, 305 Fahm St, Savannah GA. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the forum starts at 6:30 p.m. 

The event is to encourage voters to get to know the candidates for Chatham County District Attorney prior to the General Election on November 5, 2024. Qualifying candidates running for Chatham County District Attorney have been invited to participate and have confirmed their participation, including: Incumbent Shalena Cook Jones (D) and challenger Andre Pretorius (R). 

Additionally, the League is allowing all candidates to greet voters as they arrive at the forum to “meet the candidates” from 6:00 p.m. when doors open until 6:30 pm when the forum begins. Candidates will be allowed to wear name tags identifying their name and the race they’re running in. 

The event will be livestreamed by ABC affiliate WJCL 22 and moderated by anchor Shannon Royster.

The general election is November 5, 2024. Early Voting is from Oct. 5- Nov. 1, 2024.
