Communications

We need  you if you have experience in content development, social media management, photography or videography, editorial/opinion writing, or PR skills!

Get Out the Vote / Voter Services

Getting people to vote is central to what we do. Help register new voters, check registration status, knock on doors, write postcards, or develop relationships with high schools, colleges, or other like-minded organizations.

Advocacy

Send notices and calls-to-action regarding legislation, proposals, and policies. Or, choose to research local/regional issues of importance and develop calls-to-action for things close to home.

Candidate Forums

Help put together our most crucial events featuring all candidates running in a given election. No organization does this with more authority than the League.

Programs

We want our members to know the latest on the issues, hear the views of experts, and take action to make a difference. If you are organized and like event planning, please volunteer for this key committee.

Member Services

Help us be more responsive to our membership by helping us find out what members want from their League, what we're doing right, and what we could be doing better.

Don't see where you fit in?

Share your ideas for increasing voter participation, improving voter education, or spreading the word about issues into new communities or in new ways.

Your help makes us better!

Other Ways to Get Involved

Become a Deputy Registrar

The Chatham County Board of Registrars hosts training once a month on how to become a Deputy Registrar. Once trained, you will be able to go out into the community and host Voter Registration drives. We believe this is an essential training for members who want to become involved in voter recruitment and host registration drives in local high schools and colleges. Be part of this exciting initiative.

Become a Poll Worker

Working at the polls is a PAID position. The Chatham County Board of Elections provides training on how to become a poll worker and they are in serious need of new workers. Without qualified poll workers, polling stations cannot open, depriving voters of convenient places to vote. To learn more about becoming a poll worker, please visit the Chatham County Board of Elections website.
