The League of Women Voters of Coastal Georgia, in partnership with WJCL, will host a forum for candidates running for the Georgia Senate District 1 and House District 164 on October 3 at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m.

The Forum will feature Senate District 1 candidates Senator Ben Watson, MD, (R) and James “Jay” Jones (D) as well as House District 164 candidates Representative Ron Stephens (R) and Marcus Thompson (D). Shannon Royster, Weeknight Evening Anchor for WCJL 22 News, will moderate. The general election is November 8, 2022. 

Admission is free and this event is open to the public. We do ask that you RSVP in advance by clicking the blue "Register Now" button above.

You do not need to be a member of LWVCGA to attend. Please disregard the request to login on the registration page.

If you would like to submit any questions to the candidates, please email them to forums@lwvcga.org. Questions must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. on September 29, 2022. Please note that submitting a question is not a guarantee that it will be asked during the forum.
